2024 OHSPRA Awards Winner
The TDA Communications team is thrilled to be recognized with four awards of excellence and distinction for our materials by the Ohio School Public Relations Association (OHSPRA). Each year, OHSPRA honors individuals, school districts, and others for their outstanding contributions to school communications. TDA received awards in three categories: Special Purpose Publications, Video Productions, and Website Development.
Brunswick CSD’s Community Construction Update
Community members gathered to participate in Brunswick CSD’s Community Construction Update Meeting. Residents, students, and educators heard a presentation by ThenDesign Architecture and Hammond Construction representatives to gain valuable insight into the status of the design and construction timeline for the new high school.
Thiel College Academic Center Groundbreaking
Distinguished guests celebrated a transformative renovation project that began with the Thiel College Academic Center Groundbreaking ceremony. Future enhancements are set to modernize labs, classrooms, and the entrance to Langenheim Memorial Library.
Educational Visioning for North Ridgeville City Schools’ New High School
On February 20th, students, community members, district administrators, city officials, and teachers attended an all-day Educational Visioning Session hosted by ThenDesign Architecture at North Ridgeville’s Academic Center. This session focused on group collaboration as attendees brainstormed how the district’s new high school would improve every student’s educational experience for generations to come.
A Comprehensive Update to the Ohio School Design Manual (OSDM)
Throughout 2023, planning staff members from the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC) and ThenDesign Architecture (TDA) met with school districts, architects, the career technical community, engineers, and construction managers in Ohio to get their feedback and contributions to the comprehensive redesign of the Ohio School Design Manual.
Educational Visioning for Brunswick City Schools New High School
On September 20th, students, parents, community members, faith leaders, city officials, and district staff attended an Educational Visioning Session hosted by ThenDesign Architecture at Brunswick High School. This 4-hour session focused on collaboration and brainstorming designs for the district’s new high school.
Rocky River City Schools Celebrates Their New Media Center
On August 15th, 2023 Rocky River City Schools opened the doors to their newly renovated Media Center in the Middle School. Attended by dozens that included the school administration, school board, members of the Rocky River Education Foundation, local media, teachers and students, all got to experience the space firsthand. This roughly 3,500 sf space features a new modular floor plan with flexible furniture and technology upgrades, it opens officially for the 2023-2024 school year.
ThenDesign Architecture, Working Together with Core Values
Our team of architects, interior designers, construction administrators, communications, and administration staff gathered on June 28th to participate in a workshop facilitated by Dr. Bethany Klynn, PhD., president of Insight Leadership Consulting. The session was designed to explore the behaviors attached to the shared values exemplified in our work. As an opportunity to engage with and learn from each other, the session provided an avenue to better identify our individual strengths and ways to work together.
